Dear Elizabeth,

          Last year, on October 17 you married my daughter Cara Lynn, to Andrew. It was way out in Long Island, outdoors in a gazebo, overlooking a channel of water.

          We all have hopes for our children, and our friends, that their marriages will not only endure, but be nurturing.

          When I "handed" off Cara Lynn to you, I did not know what I wanted, but God gave it to me, through you. As you spoke to my daughter and Andrew, not only did your voice have love and power, but your arm encircled Cara Lynn’s back with a loving touch. As I saw the representation of all that is good in this universe embrace my daughter physically, I got all warm and fuzzy, and the tears began to flow.

           You gave to my daughter and Andrew, in a symbolic and physical way, all that I hoped for.

            I hope your ministry touches you, as much as it did me.
